Scarpati Horsemanship with father and son
Oscar & Cristobal Scarpati
May 17th-19th
Adapted from Argentina’s indigenous Ranquel people, Scarpati Horsemanship is a unique form of horse training emphasizing connection, understanding, and mutual trust between horse and human.
Oscar and Cristobal Scarpati, are revered for their mastery of “Doma India,” an ancient Argentine style of horse training that embodies a philosophy of mutual respect and understanding between horse and rider.
Their approach to this art form is characterized by gentle yet firm techniques, prioritizing the well-being and partnership of both horse and human.
The focus of the clinic extends beyond riding techniques or taming. Love, respect, and empathy for the horse form the foundation of the Scarpati’s teachings.
Participants will observe the Scarpati’s masterful interactions with the horses, gaining insight into their gentle yet effective approach while working with members of our free roaming herd of rescued and rewiled horses all from varying backgrounds working through underlying traumas due to the individual history of each horse. From Jineteadas to completely raw untouched ‘Potros’.
We look forward to welcoming you on what we hope will be a transformative three days where we step through a portal to share another way…a kinder way….of partnering with land and horse.
